Green Image began with a business school application. When Devon was applying to UVic, he realized that what you do outside the classroom matters as much as your grades — so he decided to start a landscape company.

With no real funds to start with, he made it work with what he had: a Honda Civic and a trailer he built himself. He towed that trailer to every site, learning as he went — how to landscape, what clients actually want, and how to run a business from the ground up.

Four years later, Devon graduated from UVic's business school with his Master Gardener certificate from the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific. But the bigger thing he walked away with was clarity: he loved watching tired properties transform into spaces people are proud of. That feeling is what still drives the company today.

Sixteen years on, that experience runs deep. No other company in Greater Victoria has managed as many properties, and that hands-on history is exactly what keeps your grounds well-maintained, season after season. Green Image has trained countless people into top landscapers, building a crew that runs like a well-organized family.
